Video intelligence for existing CCTV

Talk to your CCTV. It answers.

VisualOps connects to the cameras you already run. Type what you are looking for and get the clip in seconds. Set rules once and get an alert the moment something needs a person.

One engine, four kinds of sites

01 · Healthcare

Hospitals

Hundreds of cameras, a small security team, and hours of scrubbing to answer one complaint.

  • Incident footage in under 2 minutes
  • Ambulance bay and crowd alerts
  • Gate ANPR and visitor vehicle logs
02 · Automotive

Automotive service centres

You know when a car came in and when it left, but not where the hours in between went.

  • Check-in by number plate at the gate
  • Time in bay, idle bays and turnaround
  • Washing, QC and ready-for-delivery status
03 · Automotive retail

Dealerships

Cars move between showroom, yard, test drives and workshop, and nobody has one view of where each one is.

  • Find any car on site in under a minute
  • Test-drive exits logged by plate
  • Footage behind every damage dispute
04 · Public sector

Government offices

Public halls get crowded, complaints arrive weeks later, and finding the footage takes a full shift.

  • Crowd and queue alerts at counters
  • Search footage for any complaint
  • After-hours perimeter alerts

Two things, done well

Find anything that happened. Know the moment it happens again.

01 · Natural language search

Describe it the way you would to a colleague

A vision-language model indexes every camera continuously. Ask for a person, a vehicle, an action or a situation, with a place and a time if you know them. VisualOps returns ranked clips with the camera, timestamp and a still of the match. No tagging, no pre-set categories.

  • woman in a yellow saree near the pharmacy counter, Tuesday evening
  • bike with two riders and no helmets crossing gate 4
  • someone climbing over the east boundary wall
  • trolley left unattended in the corridor for more than 10 minutes
02 · Alerts

Rules that run on every camera, all night

Draw a zone, pick a condition, choose who gets told. Alerts arrive on WhatsApp, SMS, email or your control room screen with a 10-second clip attached, so the person on duty can decide without opening another system.

Where VisualOps runs

Built for two kinds of operators

The same search and alert engine, set up for very different days.

Critical infrastructure protection

Hospitals, utilities, campuses, cities

Large sites with hundreds of cameras and a small security team. VisualOps watches the perimeter and gates overnight and gives investigators answers in minutes, not shifts.

Retail and automotive service

Store chains and vehicle service centres

Floor teams already have cameras. VisualOps turns them into a daily read on service: how long customers wait, whether counters and bays are working, and where every vehicle is right now.

Technology

From camera stream to answer

VisualOps runs on an edge appliance inside your network. Video is processed where it is recorded, and only events, thumbnails and the search index leave the site if you choose.

  1. IngestPulls RTSP or ONVIF streams from cameras, NVRs or your VMS. No change to recording.
  2. DetectDetects people, vehicles and objects at 5–10 fps per stream and tracks them across frames.
  3. DescribeA vision-language model writes an embedding for each track and scene every few seconds.
  4. IndexEmbeddings, attributes, camera and time go into a local vector index with 90-day retention by default.
  5. ActSearch queries and alert rules run against the index and live stream, then route to people and systems.
Search

How a question becomes a clip

The query is parsed into what to look for, where and when. Attributes like colour, clothing, vehicle type and action are matched against the embedding index. The top candidates are then checked frame by frame by the language model before they are shown, which removes most near-misses.

Alerts

Detectors tuned for Indian sites

ANPR reads standard, BH-series, commercial and two-wheeler plates, including dirty and partially covered ones, at speeds up to 40 km/h at gates. Reads are matched against your watchlists and visitor passes.

Crowd density counts heads per zone rather than detecting whole bodies, so it holds up in packed OPD queues and festival processions where people overlap.

Rules combine a zone, a condition, a schedule and a cooldown. Every alert carries a clip and a still, and the operator can mark it as resolved or false, which is used to tune thresholds for that camera.

What changes when cameras can be asked

Four deployments across healthcare, a city command centre, a pre-owned car retailer and a grocery chain. Client names are withheld at their request.

Healthcare · Critical infrastructure

A 1,000-bed tertiary care hospital across 20 acres

Nine clinical blocks, a medical college, staff housing and multi-level parking, with 6,000 to 8,000 people on campus on a weekday. The security team of 40 had 640 cameras and no practical way to use them beyond live viewing.

The problem

  • Finding footage for a complaint or police request meant 3–4 hours of scrubbing through recordings.
  • Private cars regularly blocked the emergency ambulance bay.
  • OPD registration halls overcrowded by 10 am, with no early warning.
  • Patients with dementia occasionally left wards unnoticed.
  • No record of which vehicles entered through the four gates.

What we set up

  • Natural language search for the security office and two police liaison officers.
  • ANPR at all four gates, with a staff vehicle list and a watchlist.
  • Blocked-bay alert at the emergency entrance after 90 seconds.
  • Crowd thresholds in OPD halls, sent to the hospital administrator.
  • After-hours perimeter alerts on the east boundary wall.

Automotive · Pre-owned car retail

Tracking every car through refurbishment at a used car retailer

The retailer buys cars from individual owners, refurbishes them at regional hubs and sells them online with a warranty. Each hub holds 400 to 700 cars, moving between inspection, mechanical work, body and paint, detailing and the photo studio. Stage updates were entered by hand in an app, often hours late, and sales teams could not tell a buyer when a car would be ready.

The problem

  • Finding a specific car in a yard of 600 took 20 to 30 minutes of walking the rows.
  • Stage updates in the app lagged by up to a day, so refurbishment time per car was unknown.
  • Cars left the hub for test drives and partner workshops without a reliable log.
  • Sales could not give buyers a firm delivery date.

What we set up

  • ANPR at every hub gate and at the entry to each work area, so a car's stage changes when it crosses into the next zone.
  • Yard cameras that record the row and slot where each car is parked.
  • Alerts when a car exceeds the planned time in a stage, sent to the hub manager.
  • Stage and location pushed to the inventory platform, so sales sees the same status as the workshop.
  • Search for disputes: "show the front bumper of MH12 RT 8841 on arrival".
